Greg is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cargill, Incorporated. He served as Executive Director of Cargill from September 2015 to August 2016, as Executive Chairman from December 2013 to September 2015 and as Chief Executive Officer from June 2007 to December 2013. He was elected to the Cargill Board of Directors in August 2000 and elected Chairman of the Board in September 2007.

Greg joined Cargill in 1974 as a trainee assigned to the Feed Division. Over the years, he held a number of positions in the United States and Singapore. He worked with the start-up of a poultry processing operation in Thailand, the beef and pork processing operations of Cargill’s Excel subsidiary in Wichita, KS and the Financial Markets Group in Minneapolis.

Greg received a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of North Dakota. He was born in Bottineau, ND.
