Jim Collet is the Chief Executive Officer of Sheridan Industries, Inc., a private equity firm focused on direct investments in profitable and sustainable businesses. His career in private equity includes senior leadership roles in various portfolio companies.

Prior to Sheridan, Jim was the Managing Director and Co-Chief Investment Officer at HFI, the family office for the Kenneth A. Hersh family, and its affiliates. He has also served as CEO for multiple manufacturing and industrial service companies in sectors like energy services and plastic injection molding.

From 2019 to 2022, he was the CEO of Flatland Holdings, LLC, an oilfield supply company. Between 1998 and 2001, Jim was a Division President at Leggett & Platt, overseeing a significant consolidation in the store fixture and display sectors.

Earlier in his career, he held senior positions in investment banking at Samco Capital Markets and Ernst & Young LLP. Jim is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization, having served on its International Board. He holds BBA and MBA degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
