Brooks Burgum

As Co-Founder and Partner at LongWater, Brooks brings a wealth of experience in finance and strategic development to spearhead the firm's success. His finance career began at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, laying a foundation for his career in his family agriculture business and finance.

Previously, as CEO of The Arthur Companies, Brooks significantly transformed the business by launching a specialty commodities trading division and implementing key operational improvements, showcasing his ability to revitalize and expand a family-owned enterprise. At LongWater, his expertise is now pivotal in areas such as capital formation, governance, performance enhancement, and strategic direction.

Brooks earned a BA in Political Science from the University of North Dakota and an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University. His leadership and vision extend to roles on the Board of Directors for Bell Bank and the Burgum Foundation, highlighting his dedication to financial innovation and community engagement.

Living in Fargo with his wife and three children, Brooks actively participates in community life and enjoys skiing, traveling, and biking.
