Longwater Opportunities, a private equity startup in Irving, has purchased 40 percent of W-Tek Inc., another Irving company that makes circuit boards, for an undisclosed amount, said partner Brooks Burgum.

It's part of Longwater's long-term strategy to buy vertically integrated small manufacturers. W-Tek was a supplier to Circuitronics, an assembler of printed circuit boards that Longwater bought a year ago. W-Tek has 45 employees and Circuitronics has about 30.

Circuitronics' former owner Jeff Forbus has bought 60 percent of W-Tek, Burgum said.
